why we don’t grow roses from seeds. Why is it better to grow roses from stem cutting?​

Propagate" simply means to reproduce a plant easily from a simple cutting. Unlike seeds, which produce very different plants, rooted cuttings produce replicas of their parent. You don't have to be a trained rosarian to reproduce treasured family heirlooms or favorite garden roses.

(1)  In order to get a genetically identical plant, you would have to use a cutting. Other wise you are at the whim of dominant traits - dangerous ground in a plant as thoroughly hybridized as a rose.

(2)  Most commercial roses have “double” flowers, meaning the sexual parts have morphed (by hybridization) into extra petals and there may be no stamen, no anthers, nothing to make seeds with.
