As Newtons3rd law ,
When a vehicle was moving it was in motion , but we are not moving so we in rest inrespective to the vehicle but we are in motion inrespective to the people standing on the road
So when the Vehicle makes a sudden stop or a break , the Vehicles stops but our body doesn't know that so we feel a sudden movement during this situation
If you absorb whenever a vehicle makes a sudden break we fall back , this is the reason it happens .
