Because here are two molecules of Oxygen gas.

AnkitKumarBhagatXI: does that mean number of atoms in molecule into no of molecules=no of atoms?
master41: no number of molecule and no of atoms is differnt thing here
AnkitKumarBhagatXI: what is O2 a molecule of 2 atoms or not?
master41: oxygen is a molecule contain 6..02x10e23 molecules
AnkitKumarBhagatXI: okaaaaaaay,Thanks buddy
master41: but O2 has 2 atoms so we multiply 6.02x10^23 to 2
AnkitKumarBhagatXI: it means that o2 has 12.044×10^23 atoms?
master41: it means O2 molecule has 6.02x10^23 molecule and12.04x10^23 atoms
AnkitKumarBhagatXI: thanks a lot buddy for making my doubt clear i've been struggling with this from the past three days thanks buddy
master41: no problem bro
