Answer:-

  • Basically our country need democracy for the proper functioning of the government.Because democracy itself says that it is a system of government in which the citizens exercise power directly or elect representatives from among themselves to form a governing body, such as a parliament
  • Democracy is important because it give citizens equal opportunities to help make laws, vote for leaders and be protected by laws and rights that are in place.

Explanation:

\huge\boxed{NeedOfDemocracy}

Democracy is necessary in our society because as we know this is called people's rule.

Therefore every single person should have the right to express their thoughts and opinions..

  • All societies have rules, even in anarchy.
  • Lets call those who make the rules a government.
  • A democracy is control of the government by the people (Greek, demos is people, and kraci is power, rule)
  • It is a weak democracy if it is “by a FEW of the people”.
  • The FEW are subject to corruption because they have concentrated power,
  • “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power is absolutely corrupt”, Lord Acton.
  • A strong democracy is “by ALL of the people”.
  • And “the wisdom of crowds” has been shown to have a more correct answer than that of a FEW, or an individual, if there is a deliberate and rational decision process, not an emotional mob.

\huge\boxed{Importance}

Democracy is when the citizen-voters have final authority over their government.

It’s important because that’s the only way they can consent to their government; anything else is an oligarchy.

In 1789, the USA was a true democracy, where the citizen-voters held final authority over their state and federal governments.

However in 1861, the federal government denied this fact, and seized final authority away from them, claiming that democracy only meant the right to vote— not to have final authority.

Rather, the feds simply passed the buck, saying that the voters had final authority— despite that government made the laws that the People had to obey without question, and the voters could no longer overrule the government like they did in 1789.

So people are either living democratic— or they are living a lie.
