While the development of tools, plumbing systems and food preservation have enabled modern man to live life with many creature comforts, the truth remains that the requirements for human survival are quite basic. Physiological needs include air, water, food, shelter, sanitation, touch, sleep, and personal space
Air: Air is made up of several gases, but the two most important gases are Oxygen and Carbon dioxide. Without oxygen, animals will die, and without carbon dioxide, plants cannot survive. Food (nutrients): Living things need energy for function. Energy is needed to grow, reproduce, move, and to work.
o stay healthy our bodies need good quality food with nutrients in them. Without these 5 nutrients carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals our bodies would not survive. A good balanced diet is needed to get the right amount of each nutrient in your body.
