Why we not call Magnesium dichloride but Magnesium chloride?

the reason is 2mgcl magnesium chloride it is balanced

Magnesium Chloride : MgCl₂

Molar mass: 95.2 g/mol

Since, There are 2 chlorine atoms, It's Generally called Magnesium dichloride by IUPAC


But, Since there's only 1 Mg atom and, To make it easier to speak, People generally don't use *di* and hence, Prefer to use Magnesium Chloride
