why we not use pure gold

Pure gold is too soft to make jewellry out of it. Hence 24 karat pure has to be mixed with other metals to make it hard enough to be used as jewellry piece. Gold is an extremely malleable metal.

Since pure gold is very soft. Therefore, we do not use it in its pure form rather we use it with an alloy or copper or silver.
