Synthetic fibres tend to catch fire easily. When they catch fire ; they start to melt and stick to the skin. Removing these stuck fibres is very harmful as well as painful . These stuck fibres can even cause skin cancer. Hence it is advised not to wear synthetic clothes while working in a lab.

Synthetic fibres the fibres that are processed chemically in factories and laboratories. They don't come stroma natural sources such as animals or plants.
