why we take lcm to make fraction's denominator equal or why we can't take any other common multiple except lcm​

See, if we will take any other multiple, i.e. greater than lcm so it will increase our calculation only . Moreover there is no eay to find common multiples of a no. except writing all the multiples and sorting them.

So , LCM is prefferable to make fraction's denominator equal.
