why we take m in negative in the mirror numerical of class 10 please help

because in concave mirror we take negative direction

We take magnification or m in negative only in case of concave mirror.

This is beacuse the image formed by the concave mirror is inverse in appearance, so as per the sign convention it will give negative signs.
