Given :

  • Perimeter of equilateral triangle is 24 cm.
  • It's height is 6 cm.

To find :

  • Area of equilateral traingle =?

Formula Used :

  • Area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height

Step-by-step explanation :

It is Given that,

Perimeter of equilateral triangle is 24 cm.

It's height is 6 cm.

As We know that,

Sides of all three equilateral triangle are equal.

Now,

Let, the one side of triangle be, x.

Then, the all three sides of triangle,

= x + x + x

= 3x.

Now,

We know that,

Sum of all sides of triangle = Perimeter

3x = 24

x = 24/3

x = 8.

Therefore, One side of the equilateral triangle = 8 cm.

As We know that,

Area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height

Substituting the values in the above formula, we get,

= 1/2 × 8 × 6

= 24.

Therefore, Area of the equilateral triangle = 24 cm².
