We use pH paper to know the pH value of substances.

maddy554: what is a pratical use
Mankuthemonkey01: It is the practical use
Mankuthemonkey01: the practical use is to find the pH
maddy554: why we need to find pH value
Mankuthemonkey01: It is important to maintain a hydroponic nutrient solution at a pH level where the elements in the nutrient solution are consistently available to the plant. If the solution is too acidic or too alkaline it can cause “lock up” – a situation which restricts certain elements essential for growth from being absorbed by the root structure.

pH paper is used to find whether the given substance in acidic or alkaline or neutral. A pH scale has markings on it. 0-6 is Acidic, 7 is neutral, 8-14 is Basic/Alkaline.
