Rubber is an insulator and does not allow the passage of electric current through it, so when electricians wearrubber gloves electric current cannot pass through them, so they don't get shock. ... Rubber, on the other hand, isan insulator, means that it preventselectricity from flowing.

we wear rubber shoes during some electric work because rubber is a poor conductor of electricity hence we will not get an electric shock.
