The festival of light is diwali. Why we will celebrate diwali because lord Rama came after 14 years of exile during which he fought and won a battle against the demons and the demon king, Ravana.This is why we will celebrate diwali. In that day we will be happiness to all.

Diwali is a Indian Hindu festival celebrated all over India. It is also known as the festival of lights. According to the mythology,there are many reasons why we celebrate diwali. But there are three main reasons for that. 1) Diwali is celebrated to mark the return of Lord Rama after killing Ravana in the Ramayana battle along with Seetha,his wife and his beloved brother. 2) Diwali is celebrated to commemorate the death of the demon Narakasura by Lord Krishna. After which he took oil bath to wash off the blood in his face which was splashed while killing the demon. 3) To mark the birth of Goddess Lakshmi. Hope this helps!!
