I think,
They know the importance about population control..

locomaniac: no... because most of the poor people are farmers and they make their children work in the fields. more children means they would get more money
ziafat111: yaaaaa
ziafat111: @locomania tilak..u r absolutely right..
Lipimishra2: That might be a case with farmers, but not all poor people are farmers.
Lipimishra2: Poor people generally lack access to contraceptives and birth controllers.
locomaniac: yea being illiterate covers that point

rural areas:

◆ in rural families most of the people are poor and are farmers.
◆ they are mostly illiterate.
◆ they require more people to work in field.
◆ they take the help of their children.
◆ more children means more help for work.
◆ furthermore, they do not consider it being important to send their children to school.

urban areas:

◆ people living in urban areas are literate and they know the need of controlling the population.
◆ they do not make their children work at young age.
◆ moreover, they consider it being important to send their children to school.

hope it helps ☺️

Lipimishra2: Some of them might be interested in sending them for schooling, but perhaps lacking resources to/ the schools in the area provide low quality meals and education. And more and more people are enrolling into schools, but the drop out rates are pretty high too.
locomaniac: yea
