Weimar Republic was criticized because of the following reasons-

1. Treaty of Versailles

Weimar Republic signed a peace treaty with Allies which resulted in weakening Germany economically. Germany lost its major resources and gained a debt of 6 billion levers.
Germany was demilitarised. So, The Weimar Republic was financially crippled.

2. Political instability

●Weimar Republic saw 20 cabinets within a few years.

● Communists and Socialists were the enemies of Republic.

● So the political condition in Germany was Unstable.

3. Economic Conditions

● Due to the Great Depression of 1929-32, Germany faced harsh and difficult life conditions. Value of German Mark fell. Unemployment was high. German youth were attracted towards crimes.
