The conspiracies were normal feature of the Delhi Sultanate because of nobility. The nobility composed of different tribes and nationalities like the Turkish, Persian, and Indian Muslims.  They were divided into factions and used to form conspiracies against each other and against the Sultan as well.

The nobles would form conspiracies if they do not get more favors and important position from the Sultan. Some nobles were more ambitious which also made the to form conspiracies. Moreover, after the death of a Sultan, all the factions used to support a particular successor to the throne which usually culminated in conspiracies.

Some nobles wanted more jagirs or independent kingdoms and thus conspire against the Sultan. The nobles were the conspirators as well as kingmakers of Delhi Sultanate.
