Answer:

Getting food grains and other things became difficult for the people. The fodder for the cattle and water also became scarce. People had to leave their houses as it became difficult to live in the village. Thus, droughts were a great calamity for the people.

Actually there are two droughts

1. which means no water causing breaking of earth surface and people die bcz they don't get enough water to drink or to cultivate their crops

2.which means excessive water, here also people die as their is increase in water so crops are over flooded and crops die which means humans can't get the food

so, in both types thier is loss of food and humans so they are a great calamity for people.
