why were Indian soldiers not scared of losing the war and falling into the hands of the British? what would the British do to them?

the indian soldiers were not scared of losing the war as they commited themselves that they have to win . Even if they can't win they will Dir but for the country as there were devoted of their country . The Britishers took over a lot of part of India so they were powerful . They could even send them to Jain , for the ever time jail or death .
