Traditionally associated with the peasantry, the Jats association saw drastic social reforms in the 17th century, when the Hindu Jats took up firearms upon the Mughal Empire throughout the late 17th and early 18th century. Jats are usually employed as soldiers because of their masculine tall stature and their willingness to fight with their opponents. Moreover this community is well trained to handle infantry and cavalry which formed important part of Armed forces. These warriors are also very reserved in their nature , tactful and are have the sharp shooting skills.
