During 18th century, most of the people moved to LONDON for job opportunities.
- The wages given were very less. Hence most of the population lived in slums.
- People had to work in extreme conditions, but they were paid less.
- Parents pushed children to work, so that they could earn money to support their family.
- But later on there were laws made which prohibited children from working.
