British had brought many things for the development of India and their prosperity like rails and implemented a lot of programmes like increase in the food production .so they conducted a lot of surveys to ensure that the rules were being implemented .and the progress is going on.

Answer: it’s a pleasure to help you friend…

Explanation:

The britishers conduct many surveys in india because they wanted to be famous all over the india and as well as the whole world by the future people . They conducted surveys in order to check their spread of business all over the india. They neeed all the future people to know about their east india company. revenue surveys were conducted by British to keep an eye on the Indian people that they aren't planning any revolt against them and so that India remains under their control.

Surveys conducted by the British are an important source of the history of the period because the British carried out detailed surveys of various regions and the practices of people in India during their rule. They surveyed the soil, cropping pattern, flora and fauna. Detailed surveys were carried out by the British to map all of India, and revenue surveys (to decide how much tax was to be collected from where) were conducted in villages in order to know the topography, the quality of soil, flora, fauna, cropping patterns, etc.
