Why were the Brambles persuaded to keep Harold in dark about his father's profession?

He was a sensative child and as Harold's family has got muscle power he had also got a corner in his brain and if he comes to know about the mercyless attitude to his father's profession he would not respect his father anymore....... Hope helped

Bramble hides his profession from Harold. As a father he is right to hide his profession because he is professional boxer he thought if Harold know that he was a boxer, he would follow his dad and don’t study and he also thought boxing does not give any thing
