the children were nervous when they walked towards the cupboard because they had locked Margot there . After seeing the enormous ball of fire , the sun they understood that Margot was right in here description of the sun and because they had been jealous of her they locked her up and then she couldn't see the sun for which she had waited for so long . The children felt guilty of what they had done to Margot nad this they were nervous while walking towards the cupboard.
