Why were the Europian foresters not in favour of the continuation of shifting agriculture?Give reason.

European foresters were not in favor of continuation of shifting cultivation of shifting cultivation as they thought that forests were unproductive...and because they wanted timber for the royal Navy and the railway system...hope this answer helps you
