Well, the Greeks worshipped the gods and goddesses based on the nature...and other psychology based god's... which also included the gods of death,etc. . Back to main content we can say that even being such scientifically advanced in that time but the philosophers usually expected them to be more advanced and supreme in terms of knowledge...and believed them to guide them on the true path...
