why were the Indian soldiers in the British army dissatisfied with the company​

If an Indian soldier and an British soldier were at the same position, then British soldier got more privileges and easily promoted.due to which discontent among the sepoys was increasing . ... This intensified discontent among Indian soldiers and they started sepoy mutiny which transformed into revolt later.
