Answer:

A lot of employers outsource their work to Indians because they are willing to do jobs at a much lower rate than anybody. India is a poor third world country, but there is an emphasis on education, so many Indians are highly skilled in programming, web design, IT, engineering and other fields.

Indians were offered only  jobs that were lower grade and some of these reasons for getting these jobs were:

  • The British administration always gave jobs that were of a lower grade to Indians because they believed that the British were superior and more civilized than the Indians.
  • The British officials also claimed that "all Indians are corrupted" and this was the reason why Indians were given jobs that were of a lower grade.
  • Another reason was that they did not want Indians to recognize their own strengths and importance so the Indians were always subdued by getting only lower-grade jobs.
  • The higher-grade jobs were provided only to the British and this hurt the sentiments of the Indians.
  • So providing only lower-grade jobs to the Indians was one of the major causes that resulted in their revolt.
  • Therefore, the British tried to subdue the Indians by providing them only lower-grade jobs.
