Because kalangs were very much skilled in trees cutting and making palaces, houses etc. When the kingdom of the Indonesia splitted into two the 6000 families were equally distributed in both kingdoms and this shows tjat how much they were skilled in palace making, cutting of trees ,in traditional methods etc. They were so skilled that Dutch wanted to dominate them but they stopped this by showing their anger by attacking on a dutch fort. hope this help you well........☺

Answer:

This is your answer

Explanation:

The Kalangs of Java used shifting cultivation. They harvested teak. They were also skilled forest cutters. Without their expertise it was difficult for the king of Java to build their palaces.

They were so valuable to the king that in 1755 when the Mataram kingdom of Java split, the 6000 Kalang families were equally divided among the two kingdoms. Thus, the 7 Kalangs were regarded as the skilled forest cutter community.
