Racism and homophobia are examples of traditional views. There are conservative and liberal Democrats, but they are not the same. My grandmother, who was from Philadelphia, was a Democrat and she was racist. I would describe her as conservative becuase she held traditional views. Hilary Clinton is an example of a conservative Democrat. She was a Goldwater Girl, and was very racist for most of her life. Likewise, the conservative movement of Reagan Republicans was very liberal. They were not racist and they started the EPA. This was a very liberal thing to do. Conservative means that you are against innovation and evolution. Just because you're a Democrat does not mean that you are a liberal.
