They thought that by capturing Turkey it would end the Muslim rule over it and thus British was threat to the Muslims and due to which they revolted against them

Indian Muslims turned against the British post The Great War (aka The First World War) because the British waged a war against Central Powers and Ottoman Empire (Now Turkey) wasn't active initially and South Asian Muslims have already started fighting the war against Great Britain, and later Ottoman Empire entered the war alongside the Central Powers, and therefore the Indian Muslims, were fighting against their brothers, and moreover they were afraid on what would happen to Islamic Centres, round the world if the Caliphate (Islamic state under the leadership of Caliph) falls and eventually Ottoman Empire was dissolved and hence, Indian Muslims turned against British post-war 1.
