Explanation:

Ranga was the son of village accountant . The village accountant was the first to send his son ( Ranga) to study abroad. When Ranga returned after completing his studies the villagers gathered round him to see if he has changed or not. But they were disappointed because Ranga didn't changed a bit. He was the same following the culture and traditions of village. He wore a sacred thread and did namaskaar to the elders in the traditional style.

So the villagers were not disappointed on seeing Ranga.
