the king of france found an empty treasury... so, he decided to increase the taxes on food. 2 and 1 estate didn't pay their taxes. the 3 estates which included farmers and peasants had to pay the taxes of the 2 estate ,1 estate, and their own taxes... the price of bread which was their staple food increased so much that people could not afford to buy it. thus the 3 estate got furious and revolted. they protested and since they were more in the majority... they beheaded the king and the queen and imprisoned their children.
