The things which were covered alongside Tut were the essential things like his favourite food, a linen clothes, precious jewellery, a bronze razor, board games as he would need them in after life. The Egyptians believed in life after death .So the body of the Pharaoh (Egyptian king) were buried along with his favourite and essential things.

The room where Tutankhamun's Mummy ( preserved dead body) were kept was filled with statues, precious stones and jewellery, paintings, jars, terracotta figurines etc.

Tut's body was buried along with gilded treasures. It was a belief in Egypt of Tut's times that gilded treasures and other such valuables were meant to guarantee rebirth. The royals believed that the dead could take their riches with them in the after life.
