The weavers tied with the company traders due to following reasons;

Explanation:

In order to reduce competition the weavers was tied with company traders. Company started the system of providing advance money to the weavers to ensure the delivery of cotton products.

Under this system if the order is placed with weavers they was provided with advance money. This has reduced the scope of bargain and if weaver took the advance payment they have to deliver the material without any failure. Company also appointed the person to look after all the trading activities of weavers known as Gomasthas.
