The main reason behind the revolutionary disturbances in Russia in 1905 were:

1. The high prices of essential goods due to the defeat of Russia in the Russo-Japenese War 1904 because of which the wages of workers declined to 20%.

2. During this time, the strike of workers led to death of 100 workers as the police attacked them and this day was known as ‘Blody-Sunday’.

3. As a result, the strike tool place all over the country and led to the creation of the Parliament. The demands of the revolutionaries were reduction the working hours, rise in wages and better working conditions.
