The poor people opposed it because for them it was the sign of bad times..
The machines reduced the dependence of landowners on labourers and led to their displacement....
Many a poor lost their jobs during the threshing season and had to tramp long distances to seek alternate employment in other villages or cities....
Machines gave landowners bargaining powers and reduced the status of the poor to wage earners.

Due to the introduction of threshing machines, many poor people who worked in the farms lost their jobs.This is because , threshing machine does the work of many people.
people were removed from work as threshing machine did their jobs.
Therefore , threshing machines opposed by the poor in England.
The poor farmers also couldn't afford threshing machines.Sometimes , the farmers thinking that use of threshing machines would increase their income, bought threshing machines by taking loans from the banks.Only rich landlord were able to buy a threshing machine without taking loan.
