Answer:

The skilled pyramid builders and scribes were not paid in money because it wasn’t invented then. Instead they paid them in a different way by giving them food, large quantities of beer, a place to live in, they could choose too be a priest for a day and even healthcare. These are just some of the ways they would pay them. For the slaves, they were paid, but not as well, all they got is food and shelter and the little things you would need to survive. You’d be thinking, why would they want to be a priest for a day. When a priest wakes up in Egypt, he always says, “Awake in peace, great god.” In the afternoon the priest goes with his fellow priests and sits down to have lunch of pea and lentil soup and is give by bread. This is just a few of the things a priest would do in a day.
