Why when object fall from height has u=0 and when throws upward v=0??

Bcoz at that time it's initial velocity is 0 or u would say that it is at rest.

because when an object is dropped from heigth h you are just releasing it hence no force is applied on it hence initial velocity would be equal to 0 and when we throw it upward we are giving some frce to it hence it gains some velocity and as gravity is in downward direction the velocity of the would be decreasing as the body reaches a certain stage that velocity reduced to 0 then it would stop going up and at that point v equals to 0
