Why when white light passes through a prism dispersed only in seven colours. Why not dispersed in more colours or less than seven colours?

Because sunlight includes all the spectrum of light. When it refracts through a prism, its colors collapse to all the seven visible colours.

heeyee mate here is ur answer

when white light passes through a prism is dispersed into seven colours because white consist of 7 colours..
so when it passes through prism it only splits into seven colours not more than that..
