why will the glass rod obtain Negative charge when rubbed with a silk cloth. where as a ebonit rod obtains positive charge when rubbed with fur.

When glass rod is rubbed with silk, then some of the electrons from the glass rod are transferred to silk. As glass rod develops a deficiency of electrons, and hence, gets
positively charged

When, an ebonite rod is rubbed with fur, then some of the electrons from the fur are transferred to ebonite rod. As the ebonite rod has excess of electrons, it gets negatively charged.
