Why will the moon pesue a uniform motion in straight line if there is no gravity in Earth

The moon revolves around the Earth because of a balance between the centripital and the centrifugal forces that both the heavenly bodies apply on each other due to gravity. If there is no effect of gravity on moon, the balance between the two complementary forces will break and the moon will move along a straight path in the entire space.
