Why with laboratory thwrmometer not use for body temperature?

In a laboratory thermometer, kink is absent. This is because laboratory thermometer is meant to measures immediate temperature. Hence, after recording our body temperature, until we check it, the mercury will fall, thus not giving us an accurate reading

I think in laboratory thermometer we use a mercury based thermometer.

But in for Body temperature we use electrical one , if use the mercury based thermometer then it may not give us accurate value and if broken then can harm our body.
