Why wooden sticks is used for ice cream give scientific reason?

Wooden sticks are used for ice cream because wood being an insulator or bad conductor of heat, doesn't let the heat pass through them to the ice cream when kept in some hot area.... apart from that heat provided from outside directly to the ice cream.

because wooden stick is bad conductor of heat, that it doesn't allow heat to pass through our hand
