woollen clothes traps air between ur body and the cloth
air acts as an insulator and prevents body heat to escape thus keeping u warm

wool is a insulator as it doesn't conduct heat through it. It has pores in it which contains air and we know that air is a bad conductor of heat so when we wear woollen clothes the heat energy radiated out by our body is trapped by both air and wool and give us a warm sorrounding thus we feel warm
