Work and Heat are always path function coz it doesn't depend on the point to point in the P-V diagram. The work will be calculated as a area of the cycle in the P-V DIAGRAM.

Adiabatic work is done without matter transfer and without heat transfer. Inprinciple, in thermodynamics, heat is defined for a process in a closed system by the amount of adiabatic work that would be needed to effect the change in the system that is occasioned by the process.
