why work is an scalar quantity i.e., have magnitude but no direction instead of being a product of force and displacement both a vector ? do the direction of forcr and displacement cancel each other and so work has no direction?? please explain why it is true that product of two vectors is scalar ??? if you don't know the answer then no need to respond but if know then plzzzzz explain

Answer:

work =f.s

work is dot product of force and displacement.

dot product means when 2 vector quantities multiply to give a scaler product.

that's why work is scaler quantity

Answer:

Yes work is a scalar quantity though it depends on vector quantity i.e. Force and displacement which have direction..

Explanation:

Work is amount of power we have used to do anything on the body /particle

Which do not need direction....

Have you listened from anyone that I have done a work in northeast direction or eastward direction...

No naa.......

It only needs magnitude....

Hope it would be helpful

Thank you.....
