under constant lgt , however the rethem disappear and the reflectance values  colour changes in 24 hrs. under constant darkness the rythem was also abolished, but the animal tended 2 darker colour. on black background the skin proceed 2  as compared 2 skin lightning of animal adapting 2 light background,
