We know that the meiosis reduces the number of chromosomes into half
And if the meiosis not occur during the production of human sperm cell and egg cell then it affect the stability of the species
The no. of chromosome won't reduce into half and the gamete formed will have diploid number of chromosomes ,that affect the stability of species

Here friends Good night

Meiosis produces cells which are haploid.
This is to mean they have half the number of chromosomes.
When a sperm and a zygote combine, a diploid organism is formed.
This is because they both have half the number of chromosomes.
If meiosis had not occurred then an organism with more than the expected number of chromosomes is formed.
The organism is thus polyploid in nature.
This is an abnormality.

I hope my answer help to u and right
