Why would life not be possible on the earth in the absence of photosynthesis?
Answers
Answer:
Plants go through the process: photosynthesis, to grow. Oxygen which is essential for the survival of all living organisms is produced during photosynthesis. No green plants? no process of photosynthesis. Thus, we can conclude that life would be impossible on the earth in the absence of photosynthesis.

☘Why would life not be possible on the earth in the absence of photosynthesis?
Ans- The Photosynthesis is a very vital process which is performed by the autotrophs/producing i.e. green plants in the presence of sunlight and Chlorophyll. The raw inorganic materials Co2 and H2O are converted into organic substance called glucose which is later stored as starch. The process if not performed, then life would not exist. The endless importances of Photosynthesis are:-
- Produce food:-
The plants are capable of producing their own food because with the help of sunlight. But, all the organisms in the ecosystem are not able to do so. Thus, the food produced by the process of Photosynthesis is stored in the organs of plant like leaves, roots, tubers etc. which is consumed by the consumers directly or indirectly.
- Transformation of Solar energy:-
The plants are able to change the Solar energy into chemical energy. This chemical energy is stored on their body. After the death of the plant, this under high pressure and temperature get converted into fossil fuels like coal, petroleum etc.
- Purifies the air:-
The plants take in Co2 as raw material and releases O2 as a end product into the eneviroment, this O2 is taken by us for the process of Respiration and production of energy inside our body. Carbon dioxide is also a greenhouse gas, thus it reduces the amount of Co2 in the atmosphere and releases harmless oxygen.
